They say that only hindsight is 20/20, but sometimes you can get perfect vision simply by altering your perspective. A new perspective may be just what you need to innovate on your product. When you’re trying to decide what new features or enhancements to prioritize, the 20/20 Vision game can help you see your product’s features from your customer's point of view.

You’ll be able to have them rate the importance of different product features based on their own experiences and see firsthand what they value the most.

Learn how to use Lucidspark’s 20/20 Vision game template
As you prepare to hold your 20/20 Vision game workshop, prepare ahead of time and brainstorm a list of product features that you can place on sticky notes and add to the Lucidspark whiteboard. You might choose to pull these from your product backlog.
Then host a workshop with the stakeholders you’ve chosen. You can leverage Lucidspark’s integration with Zoom for this if you’re working remotely. Follow these steps to play the game:
- Choose two features on sticky notes at random. Chat about their value and collectively decide which feature is more important than the other. Place the more important feature above the less important one on the importance ranking continuum in the template.
- Choose another feature randomly. Determine where to place it relative to the other two stickies already on the continuum. Is this aspect more or less important than the others? By how much? Pay attention to what customers say during this discussion, including any opposing views. Then repeat until all features are placed on the scale.
- Use the Note Panel to record what your consumers prioritize and why. Be sure to note anything that surprises you here.
- Use the Facilitator Tools throughout to help guide the session. Encourage the use of chat, emojis, or commenting to make the session interactive and capture more feedback from your customers.
After you’ve sorted all the features, you can use the information you’ve gathered to inform your product roadmap.
