Sprint ceremonies example

What is the sprint ceremonies template?

If you use an Agile framework like Scrum, you need to collaborate closely with your team. This template helps you plan out the meetings, or ceremonies, you need throughout a sprint. You’ll lay out the meetings, schedule them on the calendar, and brainstorm your team norms and etiquette for ceremonies.

Benefits of using the sprint ceremonies template

Sprint ceremonies should help you get your work done, not get in your way. This template takes the work out of planning meetings so you can get down to business.

Use this template to keep track of events within a sprint. This helps your team stay on task and on time, which makes you a more cohesive, effective team. This is especially true for hybrid teams that may not see each other face-to-face.

How to use the sprint ceremonies template in Lucidspark

In the first table, lay out which meetings need to take place during the sprint, who needs to attend, the purpose of the meetings, and how long they will take. While the template includes sample ceremonies, customize it freely.

Once you have your list of needed meetings, lay out the schedule for each team. Use different colors on the containers to organize them at a glance. Work with your group to make sure that the scheduled times work for everyone. If you’re making the schedule on your own, make sure you share the template with everyone else to confirm.

Finally, work with your group to brainstorm etiquette rules for meetings—the Lucidspark Zoom integration makes brainstorming together in Lucidspark easy. Think about how you can make your ceremonies efficient, respectful, and effective. List any rules you agree on in the final container. Use the voting feature to narrow down the most important rules. You can also react to others’ contributions with emojis or GIFs.
