Make the transition back to the office easier with our template
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed the work model for many businesses. Now, however, many organizations are faced with the challenge of moving operations back to an office environment after months of working remotely. If you’re transitioning back to an onsite work environment or changing to a hybrid model, make the process smoother with our step-by-step template.
Our Lucidspark collaborative template will allow you to gather feedback from employees and efficiently test new ways to accomplish your work. Rather than simply going back to the way things were done before, you’ll be able to use the best of both remote and in-office work practices with a learning, testing approach.
Use collaboration to brainstorm and test the most efficient work practices
Share the template to your Lucidspark whiteboard and invite everyone affected by the transition to contribute to the workshop. To effectively utilize the template for transitioning from remote work, follow these steps:
- As a group, brainstorm all the work items you have. Have everyone add sticky notes to the whiteboard, and consider using Lucidspark’s timer and Collaborator Colors to keep the session at a manageable length and keep track of everyone’s contributions.
- Sort the brainstormed tasks into individual tasks and group tasks; use the Tagging and Sort features to accelerate this process and keep things organized.
- Choose a few different tasks to experiment with; these will be known as your hybrid work experiments. You might consider using the Voting feature to determine which tasks to experiment with first.
- Determine the goal of each hybrid work experiment as well as its metrics for success and timeline of accomplishment. You’ll also want to document who the task is assigned to and what preparation is needed. You can turn these into action items with Lucidspark Cards.
- After a few weeks of running the hybrid work experiments, bring the team back to the template to reflect on the experiment’s success, what needs improvement, and what you have learned as a team as a result of each experiment.
- Make any necessary changes to the work process, and start the process again with new hybrid work experiments.
You can continue this process for as long as necessary. As everyone has a chance to contribute and stay involved with the changes in the workplace, you’ll find that your teams will be more efficient and motivated to take ownership of their work.
